Old Luxembourg, was introduced 250 years ago. The Old Luxembourg decor pattern dates back to the 18th century, starting in 1768 when the Boch brothers used the Brindille, a hand-painted delicate branch, on fine stoneware dishes in their factory in Septfontaines, Luxembourg. Old Luxembourg features the traditional porcelain color scheme of deep cobalt blue on white porcelain. Old Luxembourg Brindille features the same blue floral branch motif enlarged in a bolder, contemporary style. The traditional form and decoration has been reinterpreted and adapted into a modern design-in both powerful blue on crisp white like the original, and then the inverse of white decor on deep blue. This modern take on the floral branch motif offers a classic look, reimagined. The Old Luxembourg Brindille is a premium porcelain collection, decorated using the lithographic technique. All items in the collection are dishwasher and microwave-safe and therefore, made for everyday enjoyment. Dishwasher and Microwave safe.
