Nitecore® THUMB is a USB rechargeable light with a tilting head to aim the light where needed. It has three brightness levels plus a flashing mode with up to 85 lumen output and runtime of 22 hours on low. Auxiliary red LEDs can help preserve night vision, useful during star gazing and night photography. It’s small and light, just 0.88 oz (24.9 g). And to recharge, simply plug into a power bank.
A metal multi-purpose clip allows you to attach THUMB to your hat bill then tilt the light for headlamp-like performance. Clip it to your pack strap and aim the light forward for night hiking. Clip to your shirt or belt to free both hands while doing camp chores. And, of course, clip in your pocket to keep from losing it.
THUMB has two buttons – the upper button controls the white LEDs and the lower button controls the red LEDs – very simple. Pressing the upper button turns on the white LEDs in high mode. Repeatedly press the upper button within 3 sec to cycle from high>medium>low>flashing>off. After 3 sec, pressing the upper button turns the white light off. Pressing the lower button turns on the red LEDs. Repeatedly press the lower button within 3 sec to cycle from constant red>flashing red>off. After 3 sec, pressing the lower button turns the red light off.
To prevent the light from turning on in your pocket or pack, with the light off, hold down both buttons simultaneously. THUMB will lockout, signaled by a red flash. To unlock, hold down both buttons simultaneously again. Another red flash signals unlocking.

THUMB has a built-in, high-efficiency Li-ion rechargeable battery with an intelligent protective charging circuit and a Micro USB connection. Since you probably already carry a spare battery to charge your phone, there’s no need to worry about running out of juice or replacing batteries, just plug into a power bank, wall charger, computer, or car (USB cable not provided). The light maintains full functionality while charging. An indicator light lets you know when the charge is complete. A rubber cover protects the USB port from dirt and moisture.
