What's New?
Sony STARVIS 2 sensor
All DR970X-PLUS front cameras now feature the new STARVIS 2 IMX678 sensor, which greatly improves sensitivity
in low-light and high-contrast areas.
Improved ISP tuning
BlackVue's own refinement to the image sensor processor, enhancing its ability to capture intricate details
like license plates in low-light conditions, even when headlights cause reflections on vehicles.
2x the event buffer
The DR970X-PLUS models now feature a 10-second buffer, up from 5 seconds for previous models. Meaning auto
event triggers record twice as much.
HEVC/H.265 codec
Higher-efficiency video coding compression algorithm better preserves details and also allows for recording
at a higher bitrate.
Enhanced 4K Quality
As seen in the comparison footage, the 4K recording quality is enhanced by the Sony STARVIS 2 sensor,
providing superior low-light sensitivity and a much wider dynamic range than the previous generation. A
faster f/1.7 aperture lens allows in more light, reducing blur and capturing details sharply. The enhanced
image signal processing delivers exceptional clarity, especially in night and high-contrast scenes, while
the HEVC/H.265 codec allows higher-quality recordings at increased bitrates, ensuring every detail is
vividly captured.
Add A Secondary Camera
The DR970X-1CH-PLUS is expandable from 1 channel of recording to 2 channels!
The DR970X-PLUS series comes
equipped with an extra input port for a secondary camera. So, you can still use the DR970X-1CH-PLUS as a
front-only dash cam, or you can add on ONE rear-facing, or interior-facing, camera later if you desire. The
best of both worlds!
You can add on up to a maximum of ONE additional camera, for a total of TWO camera angles. The secondary
camera is 100% optional, sold separately, and is not included in the base price of the DR970X-1CH-PLUS.

GPS, Wi-Fi and Cloud Capabilities
GPS Logging
You can check the position of your vehicle on the map while playing back the video, and the speed can also be
overlaid on the video. The speed overlay can be hidden in the settings.
5GHz Wi-Fi Connectivity
With Wi-Fi connectivity, you can easily link your BlackVue dashcam to your smartphone or tablet.
Additionally, Wi-Fi allows your BlackVue to connect to the BlackVue Cloud using any mobile or home Wi-Fi
hotspot or router for easy access to files and settings.
